Women’s Conference 2017

What a blessing it was to have so many women come to the Shores March 3-5 for our annual Women’s Conference! It was an incredible weekend getting to see ladies laugh together, worship together, and rest together. Carrie Langemeier, wife of our Chief Ministry Officer Craig “Dutch” Langemeier, was our speaker for the weekend. Carrie encouraged us through stories and scripture to “live loved”. She also gave a powerful message on forgiveness and what it looks like to fall forward in to the arms of Jesus in the midst of failure. Please enjoy these audio recordings from the conference: Carrie […]

Men’s Conference 2017

On the weekend of January 27-29, over 500 men from multiple churches, small groups, families, and communities gathered at Pine Cove’s Shores and Timbers camps. Getting to be a part of this weekend is one of the greatest joys in my job. There is nothing in the world like 500 plus men singing to our great God! Pete Briscoe, from Bent Tree Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, was our speaker this year. Pete did an incredible job communicating and pushing our attendees to be better husbands, fathers, and men of God. (Download Pete Briscoe Audio). Saturday night, mentalist Grant Price […]

A Letter to Moms with Tween Girls

I still remember the day. It was Tuesday, January 25, 2012, and my 12-year-old daughter left me a love note. YES! In a world where tweens are often characterized as moody and aloof, my girl showed evidence of actual connection. Entering the realm of tween parenting, I felt a little like Katniss in “The Hunger Games.” We’re locked in this space together until the tween reaches adulthood. Who will come out alive? Will it be a fight to the death? Navigating adolescence can be like teaching a child to ride a bike. The child is excited and anxious. The parent […]

Falling For Pine Cove’s Couples Weekend

Editor’s Note: The following post was written by Adrianne “Snicks” Miller, a former Pine Cove Summer and Full-Time Staffer. Read about Adrianne and her husband’s experience at their first Pine Cove couples conference! One year ago, my husband and I sat in our church community group discussing how things were going with each of the couples. One gal threw out an idea: “What if we all went to Pine Cove’s Romance Me Conference next year?” Her idea was met with some silence, mostly from the guys. I could see their wheels turning. “Romance Me? Sounds cheesy… And don’t the staff jump and cheer all […]

Women’s Conference 2016

“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” Philippians 1:8 We were blessed to have over 250 women come to the Shores March 5-7 for our annual Women’s Conference. It was a blast getting to see women of all stages of life eat together, laugh together, and worship the Lord together. Cindy Hawks, a DTS graduate who is married to the pastor of Hill Country Bible Church in Austin, was our speaker […]

“…I believe, but help my unbelief.” Mark 9:24 There are fewer things more powerful than listening to a room of a few hundred men singing in unison and laughing together. MomLife Boot Camp 2014

On the opening night of MomLife Boot Camp, I prayed for great weather. In my mind that meant sunny and 75 degrees, but the Lord is much more creative. He sent a storm and then an amazing rainbow to remind us of His promise and His faithfulness. For the past three years, Pine Cove has had the opportunity to partner with MomLife Today to put on a life-changing event called MomLife Boot Camp. We had over 400 moms at every age and every stage from across the country come together at Pine Cove’s Shores and Bluffs camps. It was a […]
