For those of you who did not know, I recently started working at the Timbers full time. I was a Ranch summer staffer for four summers and came on to Resident Staff full time in August. As a summer staffer you always wonder what it would be like to work at a different camp because typically each camp has something that is unique to them. The Ranch has Jiggs, the Shores has a beautiful lake, the Towers has the buffalo hunt, and Outback has a sweet wake park…You get the point, right? Well,  if you are now wondering what makes the Timbers so unique you do not have to wonder anymore!  Since working here I have noticed a few key things that make the Timbers a special place…

Something I realized very quickly was that I had to step up my dancing skills to work here. I am pretty sure everyone would know you were referring to the Timbers if you just called it “The Dancing Camp”. There is LITERALLY a dance or cheer for EVERYTHING…

…LET ME SEE YOU WOBBLE!

Another characteristic unique to the TI is that not only are we a staff, but also a family. Shawn, Nick, and Mallory have been very welcoming and helped to make the transition from another camp very easy. It has been fun getting to know them and learning a few key things about them in the process…

These are just a few of the things I have learned during my time so far here at the Timbers, but I am sure that I still have a lot to learn! Is there anything else I need to know about the TI Nation? Send them our way via twitter @pinecovetimbers or facebook www.facebook.com/pinecovetimbers
