Pine Cove trains resident and summer staff to recognize inclement weather situations and to adequately protect the lives of our campers and staff. We are constantly monitoring the weather and use a great weather service that utilizes a team of meteorologists to notify us in the event inclement weather is approaching. Opening 2017: Chimney Point in South Carolina!

I remember when I came to work at Pine Cove for the first time in 2002. My life was absolutely transformed by being on staff and I am thankful to still be able to serve here. I even met my wife, Brooke, while working at the Shores camp in 2004. Thirteen years later, I am excited to share that Pine Cove’s first national expansion camp, Chimney Point will open in 2017 in what will be our 50th summer! This 120-acre former lakeside dairy farm with picturesque pastures and meadows is located on the popular destination lake, Lake Hartwell, right along […]

If you’ve spent the last 48 years thinking to yourself, “Self, Pine Cove should have an APP,” then one, you are a very forward-thinking person with much knowledge of the future, and two, it’s happening. Board Announces New President and CEO

It is my great delight to announce that Reed Livesay has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Pine Cove. This decision came after a very thoughtful and deliberative process of the Board evaluating what kind of leader Pine Cove needs in the days ahead. We knew from the outset that we had a very strong internal candidate in Reed, who has been our Acting President since January. But when the Selection Committee interviewed him and evaluated his qualifications against the criteria we had developed for our next CEO, it became obvious that God has placed His hand on […]

Donate Your “Stuff” to Send Kids to Camp

Did you know that your “stuff” can help minister to campers and spread the life-saving Truth of the Gospel? This “stuff” is not just old cell phones or lap tops sitting around; but, if you have valuable jewelry you never wear, maybe a golf cart, unused gift cards, or perhaps a cow (yes, even a cow or other livestock!), then you can help send a camper to Pine Cove whose life could be transformed by the love of Jesus! Pine Cove is thrilled to announce that we now have an online process on our website where you can select items […]
