Pine Cove is thrilled to host Christian recording artist Britt Nicole as our special performer for Winterfest. Each year we invite an artist or band to come and perform in Tyler, Texas for the Ranch, Timbers, and Shores campers. This concert is a fun, high-energy highlight of this action-packed winter camp weekend.

The concert will take place Saturday night, December 14th, and is exclusively for Winterfest campers at the Ranch, Timbers, and Shores. We want it to be small (about 300 people) so that our campers can hear not only Britt’s music, but also a little bit about what God is teaching her.

Interested in learning more? Here is a short interview that will tell you more about Britt, her experience with camps, and why she wrote her newest single “Gold.” Enjoy.

Tell us about any camps you went to as a kid and what impact the experience had on you.

I attended a music camp for four years while in high school and was a part of a Christian camp in Ohio for several years. I remember all the fun and laughs I had with so many great people… people I would have never met if I had not attended the camp. Some of the girls I met at the music camp have been backup dancers for me at my shows since then. I feel that these camps helped me grow into the person I am today.

I now have the opportunity to minister and sing at camps through music. At every camp I have attended, I have been blessed to build lasting friendships that have helped me and my friends in our walk with God!

You’ve said that you wrote the single “Gold” to help remind listeners of how God sees them. Tell us about your inspiration for that.

When writing this song I was feeling really down and sad, which is funny because an awesome, fun dance song with a great message came out of that. The day we were writing one of my friends said to me, “Britt, you are the apple of God’s eye.” This was a truth I needed to hear and my fans need to hear! “Gold” came from that!

What advice would you give to a camper who was struggling with their identity and self-confidence?

Don’t look at other people to see who you are, or to the mirror, or to magazines… look to God’s Word! He speaks truth and reminds us of who we truly are! Hold your head up, shake off all the bad words that have been spoken over you or that you have spoken over yourself, and receive God’s love!!! He loves you, adores you and believes in you!

We invite you to send your camper to Winterfest. Spots are still available, but they are filling up quickly. You can find out more about the weekend online, or by calling us at 877-474-6326.

Merry Christmas from Pine Cove!
