Hannah Carter
Hannah came on full time in August of 2008 after working three summers at the Shores as a Counselor, Mama Ruth and Secretary. She worked as Guest Relations at the Timbers until becoming a Base Camp Site Coordinator in 2010 when the program started. In 2011 she became the Director of Base Camp. Hannah also met her husband, Caleb or “Wheelin and Dealin,” during her time working at the Timbers. She is from Nebraska and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Hannah loves getting to work with Base Camp because she gets to come alongside churches to reach out into their communities.

Seven years ago when we started Camp in the City, we never would have imagined taking camp to 100 different locations all over the South. We have the coolest jobs ever! We get to partner with the best churches while providing an awesome camp experience for them and the people in their communities. Nearly 450 college summer staff will join us as we hit the road in May who are pumped to share the love of Jesus with 1st through 6th graders across nine states. Base Camp’s New Name Is…

About four years ago, we started this awesome day camp program where we partner with churches for the purpose of outreach. We wanted to come alongside the church and do what we do best—camp. Our desire was to be used by the church to bring new families from their community into a year-round relationship with the church. This traveling day camp program is called Base Camp.
